What is Diz?
Diz is an intercity carpool network for Saudi Arabia. Drivers post trips they are already making, and riders book an open seat at a fixed price.
How is Diz different from Uber or Careem?
Diz is built for travel between cities, not rides within one. A driver posts a trip they are already making and shares the route. It is carpooling, not ride-hailing.
Which cities does Diz cover?
Diz covers 20+ cities in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, Madinah, Al Khobar, Abha and Tabuk. New routes are added as demand grows.
For riders
How do I book a seat?
Open the app, enter your origin and destination, pick a date, and browse the trips available. Choose a trip, pick 1 to 4 seats, and send a booking request.
How much does a seat cost?
Drivers set the price for their route. Prices range from about 30 SAR on short routes like Jeddah to Makkah, to 200 SAR on long routes like Riyadh to Jeddah. You see the exact price, including VAT, before you book.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancel at least 2 hours before departure for a full refund. A late cancellation may carry a fee to cover the driver.
Can I travel with riders of the same gender?
Yes. Turn on women-preference matching to travel with drivers and passengers of the same gender.
For drivers
How do I become a driver?
Sign up in the app and submit your national ID, driving license and vehicle registration (Istimara). Once WASL verifies you, you can start posting trips.
How much can I earn?
Earnings depend on your route, how often you drive, and your pricing. Active drivers on busy routes like Riyadh to Jeddah can earn 2,000 to 4,000 SAR a month on trips they were already making.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed weekly, every Sunday. Funds reach your linked bank account within 1 to 2 business days.
Safety and trust
Is Diz safe?
Every driver is verified through WASL and a national ID check. Every trip has live tracking, an emergency button, and two-way ratings. See our Safety page for details.
How are drivers verified?
A driver must pass WASL verification (the Saudi Transport General Authority), and provide a valid national ID or Iqama, a valid driving license, and vehicle registration.
